Editoral Notes

This is a general advertising piece for Hall's patent anchor, a major supplier for the merchant marine and various navies of the world. It's rather thin on technical details, but typical of the purely promotional brauchures of the period. There is no copyright, but judging from the list of ships, it dates from about 1899, and contains illustrations of the Hall patent anchor used by the Lusitania, Titanic, etc.

Please pardon the quality of the images: this is actually a photocopy of the original made in 1976 from a booklet then in possession of the co-inventor's (J. Verity) nephew, and the Xerography of the day had trouble rendering illustrations and shading.
