This booklet was written by the Cunard Line in the mid 1950's for the benefit of cooks in their service.
It is a companion to "The Steward's Handbook", of similar size and format.
No printed copyright notice. The booklet was produced in-house by the Cunard Steamship Company, Ltd., for use onboard their steamships. This edition dates from September 1955.

Unspecified author and publisher. The booklet was obviously produced by the shore staff of the victulating department of the Cunard line. The booklet was probably printed on one of the company's ships, which was well within the technical parameters of ship's equipment.
